Trends:
Market has been in a downward spiral for the last week and it showed in
the sale today. The Feeder cattle futures board has lost ground everyday it
seems since Easter and consumer demand or the lack of has packers worried about
moving product. On a good note pasture
conditions seem to be in excellent shape in most areas as there has been ample
rainfall. Demand was light with almost
every buyer commenting on how difficult it is to get an order. Slaughter Cows
and Bulls 1-3 lower than last week. Calves were spotty with lighter, thinner
flesh cattle with good genetics and growth potential Steady to 2 Lower, Heavier
Fleshy new crop calves were as much as 5-10 lower.
